Crafter Choice 27: Mineral Affair

A Crafter Choice event has just started today and will be available for 7 days. As the event name emphasize, you as a crafter can choose which item to build from 2 available items: Czar's Finest and Mach 20. The first item Czar's Finest is an armor item that you can build up to Ruby grade with stat of 364 attack and 317 defense and bonus 3 attack points. The Second item Mach 20 is a vehicle item which also can be built up to Ruby grade with the reverse stat of 317 attack and 364 defense with bonus 3 defense points.

To build any of these items, you will need to post a feed requesting build materials. The material used this time is called Impossibrium, a green colored mineral which of course a made up material created by Zynga. You can post feeds every 2 hours and collect a maximum of 10 impossibriums from each post. The total you can collect per day is 30 pieces from posting feeds, 10 from helping your mafia by clicking their feeds, and another 5 as loots from doing job in any cities. That's a total possibility of 45 pieces/day times 7 days, for a grand total of  315 pieces of impossibrium.

In the beginning I said you can build a Ruby grade item, so to do that you need to upgrade the quality of your item production by using the impossibrium pieces. You need 100 pieces of impossibrium to upgrade each item to the Ruby grade. So if you want to have both on Ruby grade then you need to collect at least 200 pieces just to upgrade the quality the items, then you need a few more to build them. As the requirement to upgrade the items are shown on the image below:

Building the item requires the same impossibrium materials but is non grade dependent. What I mean is, whatever grade quality item you have achieved does not increase the cost for building the item. However the required amount for building the item is progressively increasing depending on the number items you plan to build, so the next build item will cost more then previous build and so on. So, I would suggest to try upgrade to highest grade first then allocate the remaining impossibrium to build for extra items. And the required amount of materials needed to build the item, you can see on the image below:

It's your decision how good your final items will be, but most likely decision would be based on the number of your collected impossibriums. If you don't collect enough, you will have to decide whether to have less items with higher grade or more items with lower grade. Hence... the event name, "Crafter Choice". If you manage to collect the maximum of 315 pieces over the duration of 7 days, you can get both at Ruby grade (cost 200 pieces, 100 each) and 8 of each item (cost 96 pieces, 48 for 8 items). Then you have 3 days to collect the items after the event finished. So do not forget to allocate the pieces accordingly to whatever plan you have laid out. So if you have not finalize your upgrade/build in those 7 days you are given this 3 days grace periods to allocate the remaining pieces of impossibrium to either upgrade or add more builds to you production.
